Burton Bradstock Community Land Trust
The Burton Bradstock Community Land Trust (CLT) is continuing its search for land in the village suitable for affordable housing.
The Trust is looking for a site suitable for a small housing development, but so far it has not found a landowner able or willing to release land for affordable homes for local people. Please join the CLT – a share is just £1 – and have a say in the future of our village.
Burton Bradstock Community Land Trust has been registered as a Community Benefit Society and a Board of six local residents has been elected.
Projects include searching for sites for small developments of affordable housing and to promote membership of the CLT to local people who are supportive of providing affordable homes for people with a strong local connection.
The stated objectives of the Community Land Trust include holding land in trust for the community and providing housing for those in need as well as helping to improve housing standards in the parish.
House prices in the Burton Bradstock are well above the average for West Dorset, meaning that it’s difficult for families with strong connections to the village to find affordable homes to buy or rent in the parish.
